XR hardware analyst Brad Lynch unveils 3D design of the Meta Cambria headset
Yesterday, XR hardware analyst Brad Lynch posted six schematics of Project Cambria on his Patreon page. The schematics show off some notable features, including a dial on the front (possibly for adjusting the lens), clips on the side (possibly for Oculus Link), and a visible cable on the back (possibly to connect the battery to the front assembly).
In April, Brad Lynch claimed in a video that he had seen photos of a real model of the Met Cambria and worked with product designer Marcus Kane to restore a detailed 3D model. It is understood that Meta has still not announced the name of Project Cambria, a specific release date or price, but earlier this month, Zuckerberg reiterated that it would launch “later this year”.
VR Dungeon game ‘Demeo’ 2-player doubles mode in development
Developer Resolution Games has revealed that a 2-player doubles mode for its turn-based tabletop VR game is in development. The mode allows two players to control two separate characters in the game, meaning 2 people can fill the roles of the original four-player campaign.
It’s a pretty good idea for people who can’t get enough for 3 players, or just want to play with a friend or two. Currently, Resolution Games has not given a specific release date for the mode, so its probably not going to be in the upcoming campaign expansion.
